KORELASI SPEARMAN RANK


Korelasi Rank Spearman digunakan untuk mencari hubungan atau untuk menguji signifikansi hipotesis asosiatif bila masing-masing variabel yang dihubungkan berbentuk Ordinal.
Contoh:
Ada 10 orang responden yang diminta untuk mengisi daftar pertanyaan tentang Motivasi dan Prestasi dalam sebuah kantor. Jumlah responden yang diminta mengisi daftar pertanyaan itu 10 karyawan, masing-masing diberi nomor 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Nilai yang diberikan oleh kesepuluh responden tentang Motivasi dan Prestasi itu diberikan pada contoh berikut. Yang akan diketahui adalah apakah ada hubungan antara Motivasi dengan Prestasi.
Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka:
  1. Judul penelitian adalah : Hubungan antara Motivasi dengan Prestasi.
  2. Variabel penelitiannya adalah : nilai jawaban dari 10 responden tentang Motivasi (Xi) dan Prestasi (Yi)
  3. Rumusan masalah: apakah ada hubungan antara variabel Motivasi dan Prestasi?
  4. Hipotesis:
  • Ho: tidak ada hubungan antara variabel Motivasi dan Prestasi.
  • Ha: ada hubungan antara variabel Motivasi dan Prestasi
5. Kriteria Pengujian Hipotesis
  • Ho ditolak   bila harga ρ hitung > dari ρ tabel
  • Ho diterima bila harga ρ hitung  dari ρ tabel

6. Perhitungan untuk pengujian Hipotesis
Data tersebut diperoleh dari sumber yang berbeda yaitu Motivasi (Xi) dan Prestasi (Yi). Karena sumber datanya berbeda dan berbentuk ordinal, maka untuk menganalisisnya digunakan Korelasi Rank yang rumusnya adalah:
ρ  = 1 – ( 6Σbi 2 : N  ( N2 – 1 )
ρ             = koefisien korelasi Spearman Rank
di           = beda  antara dua pengamatan berpasangan
N             = total pengamatan                       
Korelasi Spearman rank bekerja dengan data ordinal. Karena jawaban responden merupakan data ordinal, maka data tersebut diubah terlebih dahulu dari data ordinal dalam bentuk ranking yang caranya dapat dilihat dalam Tabel 2.
Bila terdapat nilai yang sama, maka cara membuat peringkatnya adalah: Misalnya pada Xi nilai 9 adalah peringkat ke 1, nilai 8 pada peringkat ke 2, selanjutnya disini ada nilai 7 jumlahnya dua. Mestinya peringatnya kalau diurutkan adalah peringkat 3 dan 4. tetapi karena nilainya sama, maka peringkatnya dibagi dua yaitu: (3 + 4) : 2 = 3,5. akhirnya dua nilai 7 pada Xi masing-masing diberi peringkat 3,5. Selanjutnya pada Yi disana ada nilai 8 jumlahnya tiga. Mestinya peringkatnya adalah 2, 3 dan 4. Tetapi karena nilainya sama maka peringkatnya dibagi tiga yaitu: (2 + 3 + 4) : 3 = 3. Jadi nilai 8 yang jumlahnya tiga masing-masing diberi peringkat 3 pada kolom Yi. Selanjutnya nilai 7 diberi peringkat setelah peringkat 4 yaitu peringkat 5. Lanjutkan saja…..

Selanjutnya harga bi2 yang telah diperoleh dari hitungan dalam tabel kolom terakhir dimasukkan dalam rumus korelasi Spearman Rank :
ρ = 1 – 6.7 : ( 10 x 102 -1 ) = 1 – 0,04 = 0,96
Sebagai interpretasi, angka ini perlu dibandingkan dengan tabel nilai-nilai ρ(dibaca: rho) dalamTabel 3. Dari tabel itu terlihat bahwa untuk n = 10, dengan derajat kesalahan 5 % diperoleh harga 0,648 dan untuk 1 % = 0,794. Hasil ρ hitung ternyata lebih besar dari ρ tabel
Derajat kesalahan 5 %…..  0,96 >  0,648
Derajat kesalahan 1 %…..  0,96 > 0,794
Hal ini berarti menolak Ho dan menerima Ha.
Kesimpulan :
Terdapat hubungan yang nyata/signifikan antara Motivasi (Xi) dengan Prestasi (Yi).  Dalam hal ini hipotesis nolnya (Ho) adalah: tidak ada hubungan antara variabel Motivasi (Xi) dengan Prestasi (Yi). Sedangkan hipotesis alternatifnya (Ha) adalah: terdapat  hubungan yang positif dan signifikan  antara variabel Motivasi (Xi) dengan Prestasi (Yi). Dengan demikian hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Atau dengan kata lain bahwa variabel Motivasi mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan Prestasi.

Dayang Sumbi feared the boat could be finished on time, so she asked some woman nearby to help her. The woman hit the grain punchers to make noise which disturbed the ghosts and the fairies. The ghosts and the fairies run away before completing the boat. Sangkuriang was very angry. He kicked away the boat upside down, and it turned into a mountain called Tangkuban Perahu. It means the down side boat, which stood in the north Bandung.

            It happened on Sunday morning, December 26th 2004. On that day, I went to the beach in meulaboh, Aceh.
            When I arrived there, I saw many people were enjoying the beautiful sunrise. It was such a good moment. But, suddenly we were shocked by a violent shake in the ground everybody was panic. I soon realized that it was a very big earthquake although it struck in a very short time.
            After that, I saw the water became shallow. Then many kinds of fish were left behind on the sand. Should Americans be Forced to Public Transportation?

                  First , let me define what the question is and isn’t asking. It isn’t asking if we should we all abandon cars right now, nor is it asking if we should abandon them complety, nor is it asking if every American should do so. It is asking wheater some Americans should have to take public transit some of the time, and I would say yes.
                  Oil use and pollution aside, in some cities like Los Angeles and New York there just isn’t room for any more roads, so in order for large cities to grow, they need more people to take public transit or risk permanent traffic jam. One bus can safely hold 40 people so even at half capacity that’s nearly 20 cars’ worth of space in traffic cleared up, and nearly 20 parking spaces that  don’t need to built.
                  There are a lot of people that can take  with transit little inconvenience but simply don’t because they never have in the past. If residents in areas with plenty of transit had to buy transit passes as part of their property taxes then they would have little excuse not to bus occasionally. QA number of universities already bundle a ‘U-Pass’ with their tuition feeds, forcing their students to take the bus. When given the change the majority of those students have voted to keep these programs.
                  A similar system in apartments where a portion of the tenants are not issued parking spaces in exchange for a discount on their rent would also be community car to several apartment tenants that arrange a schedule for the car, and this program gets many positive reviews.
                  So yes, I would say that Americans should be forced to use public transit, as Americans whom are already forced to do so find that it works well for them.

The Jackal Who Saved The Lion
                  Once upon a time, there lived a lion in a forest. One day, when he went to drink water in a river, one of his feet got stuck into the damp mushy mud of the river. He tried a lot of to get out of the mud, but didn’t achieve. He had ti lie without food for days because he didn’t find any help. On one fortunate day, a kind Jackal came to drink water from the river. When he saw the lion, he went closer to the lion said , “What is the matter? Why are you resting here?”
                  The lion narrated him the pathetic story. The Jackal instantly made a way out from the sand but the lion was unable to move his feet. As he was set in the same posture for last several days, his body became stiff. The Jackal understood the condition f the Lion and helped him to get out of the mud with an extra effort. The lion was really thankful to Jackal for his kind help. He was very happy to get free after so many days.
                  The Lion appreciated the effort made by the Jackal. He offered the Jackal to live close to him and also promised to give food the lion whenever he caught food. The Jackal accepted the offer and started living with the lion, Thus, they lived happily sharing the food. With the passing time, they expanded their families. The Lion had cubs and the Jackal had kid jackals. Both, the lion and the Jackal were passing their days happily. They didn’t have any idea that their friendship was not liked by their families.
                  One day after a long time, the lioness, lady of lion’s house, told her cubs that she didn’t like the amity between the Jackal and her husband. The cubs passed the message to the kid jackals. The kids complained the matter to the lady Jackal. The lady Jackal passed the complaint to her husband.
                  The Jackal went to the Lion and asked, “I helped you without any thought in return. You had asked me to live with you, so I started living with you. Now, if you don’t want me to live with you, you should have told me yourself. What did you involve your wife and cubs to convey this?”. The Lion was shocked to hear such words. He said, “My dear Friend, what are you saying? I don’t any problem with you or your friendship”. He assured the Jackal that he had no such ill-feelings for the friendship between them.
                  The Lion also assured for that he would talk to talk to the lioness and solve the whole matter. The jackal was intelligent and understood the situation. He said to the lion, “I know you are sincere, but our families could not exactly respond the same level of the friendship. So, let us stay apart and meet often as friends. We could also hunt together. It would be better, if our families  stay apart”. The lion agreed to the proposal with a heavy heart.
                  The two families parted from each other as friends. The Jackal and the Lion continued to share the friendship. They often met each other and hunt together. Thus, the two friends shared a healthy friendship throughout their life.
